House of Holes by Nicholson Baker

Not much has been made public about Baker's new novel except that it's subtitled A Book of Raunch and it's touted as a "gleefully provocative, off-the-charts sex novel that is unlike anything you've read." It's hard to imagine what could possibly still count as off the charts after the graphic excesses of Baker's earlier erotic novels, Vox and The Fermata, so one awaits House of Holes with a mixture of curiosity and trepidation. 8/9
