Barn Owls in Oceanside, Calif.

While some nestcams go dark at night, the Owlceanside nest on Ustream is actually most fun to watch just after dusk. Hatched in mid–February in a wooden box perched 16–ft. above ground in a residential neighborhood, these six owlets are just learning to fly and should leave the nest for good sometime in May. The owlets spend most of the day sleeping inside their nestbox. But at night, infrared sensors mounted on the cameras let viewers enjoy their endlessly amusing nighttime shenanigans.
