Today it's unlikely that the top-selling toy of the year would be a gun, but in 1964, the Johnny Seven O.M.A. (One-Man Army) gun was the best-selling boy's toy. The multifunctional gun earned much of its appeal by promising to act as several weapons in one: machine gun, grenade launcher, rocket launcher, tripod-mounted rifle and detachable pistol. Its popularity stemmed in part from the James Bond craze, and the gun was marketed heavily on TV something we're unlikely to see today.
