Question: Is will.i.am more disturbing as a hologram on CNN or as a 3-D animation on the Super Bowl? The spot's graphics — playing off the Black Eyed Peas' halftime appearance — get attention, but the pitch for yet another social network is muddled. (The only distinction it makes between Chatter and every other networking service to let you share info and pix is that it's somehow "private" and "safe.") Neither music nor lyrics quite sold this one.
