The Green Bay Packers are located in the smallest media market of any NFL, NBA or MLB franchise. But despite its small size the city has a population of just more than 100,000 people the games are regularly sold out. Cheeseheads have no problem coming up with enough fans to pack Lambeau Field's 73, 128 seats, despite the fact that the stadium can seat roughly 75% of the city's population. While part of the reason behind this is the passionate dedication and loyalty of Green Bay's fans, it also helps that football is a sport of few games. While professional baseball teams play 162 games, NFL teams play just 16 games, giving each game weight and drawing fans and a hefty television audience to each game, no matter the size of the team's hometown. Oddly, the nation's second largest media market, Los Angeles, does not even have an NFL team.
