Marcel the Shell With Shoes On

"Guess what I wear as a hat? A lentil." And thus we are brought into the world of Marcel, a tiny shell with sneakers and eyes who likes to explain just exactly how small he is. The stop-motion direction by Dean Fleischer-Camp brings whimsy to a dingy domestic scene, but it's comedienne Jenny Slate's voice performance that makes this video unforgettable. Just try not to coo when Marcel, shoes squeaking, leads his "dog" (a piece of lint) across the floor, telling his pet he loves him.
