Paul Reubens and his alter ego Pee-wee Herman may have receded from the collective consciousness in the years following Reubens' 1991 arrest for indecent exposure, but Pee-wee was never truly forgotten ... or forsaken. The wacky one-of-a-kind character at the center of the movie Pee-wee's Big Adventure (directed by Tim Burton) and the Emmy-winning children's TV series, Pee-wee's Playhouse, returned to the stage in The Pee-wee Herman Show, which made its debut in Los Angeles in January and was welcomed on Broadway this fall. In between, news broke that Judd Apatow would be producing a new Pee-wee movie. Oh yeah, and while we're connecting the dots (laa-la-laa-la), Pee-wee not Reubens has blogged on the Huffington Post. How contemporary of him.
