Bunga bunga
Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is no stranger to scandal, having survived quite a few. But was there ever a scandal with such an irresistible (if enigmatic) tag line? After a teenage bellydancer claimed she'd attended "bunga bunga" sex parties allegedly hosted by the 74-year-old Berlusconi, the phrase took off. According to an Italian paper, the teen said bunga bunga was a sexual ritual that the Italian leader told her he'd learned from Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddafi. There's also been speculation that the phrase comes from an old joke. It has surely inspired many — including a comedic ditty based on Shakira's official World Cup song "Waka Waka."
