Ivy Bean, Oldest User, Dies
When you're 104 and tweeting, you have to accept the possibility that each character could be your last. Such was the story of Britain's Ivy Bean, whose 56,000 Twitter followers were the first to hear of her death in July. After Bean took ill, staff at her nursing home posted updates on her deteriorating health until the final, sad conclusion. But Bean had a wild ride — her love of social media led to an invitation from 10 Downing Street and a date with rocker Peter Andre.
