Jimmy McMillan
It didn't take long for the Internet to fall in love with Jimmy McMillan, the lone candidate with a handlebar mustache in New York's gubernatorial election. Move over, Democrats. Slide to the side, Republicans. And say hello to the Rent Is Too Damn High Party. McMillan, a Brooklyn native, garnered 1% of the vote with his three-pronged platform of putting "a roof over your head, food on the table and money in your pocket." His campaign hit a snag, however, when it was revealed that since he provides maintenance for his building, he actually pays nothing in rent, adding him to the list of New York City residents who are too damn lucky.
