Krystal Ball vs. the Internet

Democrat Krystal Ball, vying to represent Virginia's 1st Congressional District, was among the first crop of candidates to fall victim to the perils of the social-media age. In early October, racy photos of Ball from a Christmas party she attended in her early 20s surfaced online. Upset by the sudden wave of attention, Ball, 28, tried to reclaim the story, alleging sexism on the part of her detractors. "Of course it's embarrassing," Ball told a local TV affiliate. "But more than that, I'm pretty angry about it."
