South Carolinians are no strangers to allegations of infidelity on the part of their politicians. (See Sanford, Mark.) But it still came as a shock when Will Folks, a well-known conservative blogger in the state, wrote a May 24 missive claiming that he'd had an "inappropriate physical relationship" with Nikki Haley, a Republican in the gubernatorial primary. Folks produced no evidence of an intimate relationship with the married Haley, and despite the media maelstrom that followed his allegations, she went on to win her party's nomination for governor.
