"Cats"

"Cats" opens triumphantly in New York, to months of sold-out shows but to mixed reviews. "Cats is a musical that sweeps you off your feet but not into its arms," TIME judged. "It is a triumpth of motion over emotion, of EQ (energy quotient) over IQ." Even so, it is considered "a spectacle on a grand and staggering scale."
