Iomega Zip Drive

Before the thumb drive, Iomega's Zip drive was a high-capacity storage alternative to the smaller 3½-in.-floppy drives during the mid-'90s. Despite its advantages over floppy drives, the Zip drive wasn't able to overcome their popularity on PCs and ultimately faded away when thumb drives became readily available.
