Panasonic DVD-L10

The first portable DVD player was introduced in 1998 by Panasonic. The DVD-L10 had a 5-in. color LCD screen and a pair of stereo speakers. It was rather hefty, compared with today's models, but at the time it didn't really matter because it allowed you take your DVD collection wherever you wanted. Panasonic also released the first portable Blu-ray player, in 2009.
