Is Obama a Keynesian?

At Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear on Oct. 30, thousands of Americans — six billion, by Colbert's count — gathered to show that sane, moderate people had a voice in politics. (And, to be honest, for a free comedy show.) But being sane isn't always equivalent to being smart. Members of the Second City comedy troupe gave attendees a pop quiz, asking if President Obama was Keynesian — or, a follower of Keynesian economic theory. But most responded with claims about the President's birth certificate.
