Taylor Swift: 'Innocent'
Taylor Swift's response to Kanye West's microphone-grabbing moment at the 2009 Video Music Awards has arrived in the form of an acoustic ballad performed in an abandoned mansion. Is Swift forgiving her loudmouthed heckler? I think so — the lyrics "Who you are is not what you did" seem to convey graceful compassion. But then she calls him "32 and still growing up." Either way, this is probably the most elegant rebuttal to a televised humiliation I've ever heard. Next time someone upsets me, I'm hiring Taylor Swift to write a song about it.
