Larry Craig's Public Toilet

This controversial toilet resulted in the resignation of Idaho Senator Larry Craig, who on June 11, 2007, was arrested at the Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport on suspicion of lewd conduct in the men's restroom. Craig, who had a record of supporting anti-gay legislation, was accused of soliciting an undercover police officer for sexual activity. He insisted upon his innocence, disputing the officer's version of events and stating that he merely had a "wide stance" and had been picking up a piece of paper from the floor. The toilet stall is now a popular tourist destination.
