Let's face it — Apple's smartphone is the device on the mobile market. With a larger than life Retina Display density and Apple's very own A4 CPU, 5-megapixel camera equipped with an LED flash and backside illumination sensor, the fourth generation of the company's smartphone series is a nice leap forward. Enhancing the iPhone's appeal, Apple added a front-facing VGA camera, HD (720p) video recording capabilities and sleeker casing design (24% smaller than the 3GS). And with the new FaceTime, users are able to video chat for the first time on a mobile device (though it only works with other iPhone 4 devices over a wireless network.) Storage capacity has been upped to 32GB to handle photos, music, apps and video, leaving users with tool with an abundant capacity for talk, e-mail, messaging and entertainment on a single, easy-to-use interface.
Price: Starts at $199 with two-year AT&T contract
The original version of this article incorrectly stated iPhone 4's FaceTime allows video chatting for the first time on a mobile device. Other smartphones released before the iPhone 4 have this capability.
