This two-minute faux exposé from Representative Charlie Melancon, the Democrat challenging Louisiana's David Vitter, revisits the junior Senator's 2007 prostitution scandal in melodramatic fashion. With grave narration, cheesy crime-scene re-enactments and anonymous testimonials, "David Vitter's Forgotten Crimes" has all the trappings of a late-night-cable whodunit. But with Vitter way ahead in the polls, the only real mystery is why Melancon thinks this campy offering can make up the difference by November.
