12. Who Took My Blanket?

With little notice, blankets and pillows aboard flights have been getting scarcer. In February 2005, American began pulling pillows from all domestic flights. In August 2008, citing environmental concerns, JetBlue announced it would sell a take-home pillow and blanket combo for $7 instead of offering disposable pillows. This May, American began charging $8 for a blanket and inflatable neck pillow. (Act now and you'll also receive a $10 Bed, Bath and Beyond coupon.) Delta, at least, still offers free blankets on all its domestic flights, though pillows are reserved for international flights and first class on domestic routes.
