Palin signs a multiyear deal (reportedly worth $1 million annually) with Fox News as a contributor. As part of the agreement, Palin will offer commentary and analysis for all of the network's programming. She makes her debut the following night on The O'Reilly Factor, where she describes the "uncomfortableness" that American people feel toward Obama, and hits the Administration, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi for their "disconnect" with constituents. Palin is also hired to host Real American Stories, a series about "real-life tales of overcoming adversity throughout the American landscape," but controversy ensues before the first episode: LL Cool J and Toby Keith claim that Fox lifted their prerecorded interviews from other outlets and included them in the program without their permission.
