GM posts a 32% sales increase for May, 2010 for its four remaining brands Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac, marking the fifth consecutive month of double-digit sales gains. The automaker continues to hold off Ford Motor Co. and Toyota to retain its title as the top selling automaker in the U.S., but that feat includes sales of GM's discontinued car brands. Overall, GM incentives have declined slightly and inventories are stable. But the automaker still hasn't overcome its perennial weakness in small cars, and its luxury brand, Cadillac, has been eclipsed by German rivals.
