Sex and the City (2004)
Boy met girl; boy and girl spent six seasons losing each other over and over again; and in the final episode of Sex and the City, Carrie and her true love, Mr. Big, wound up together at last. Watched by nearly 11 million people, the SATC finale was a pure crowd-pleaser: it even revealed Big's long-concealed real name, John. (Wow!) But it apparently wasn't enough for fans, judging by the box office mega-success of the first Sex and the City movie and the hype surrounding the second one.
