How does Rooney come up with this stuff? Oh, that's right, he just looks around whatever room he's in much like Anchorman's Brick Tamland ("I love lamp!") and chooses something. This time, the topic is watches.
Rooney begins his 60 Minutes editorial with the observation, "Most of us have half a dozen watches in drawers around the house that we never use." (First of all, not true.) He then shows off several watches that belong to himself and one of his employees. "This was a watch that I bought because it cost only $9.99," he says. "I was going to give it to one of the kids for Christmas, but I never did." Rooney wraps up the segment in his usual classy way: by complaining about a watch he received as a gift.
Best line: "I don't like metal watchbands. My wrist hairs get caught in [them]."
