Tell us about a book or film or work of art that has influenced you.
The book that probably most influenced me was The Little Prince. I know it sounds corny, but the idea of each of us being one special "rose" to someone has stayed with me all of my life.

What was your greatest learning experience?
My greatest learning experience occurred in 1976 when I came to ABC News to be the first female co-anchor of a network news program. I had a partner who didn't want a partner. Our program failed and I had to prove myself and work my way back. I think I did my best work then. From failure can often come success.
