The original serial wedder, Henry VIII churned through six wives: Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Catherine Howard and Catherine Parr. His track record makes even today's worst Hollywood splits look positively warm and fuzzy: the King famously beheaded two of his former flames (Howard and Boleyn). His various unions produced three children, all of whom would become monarchs themselves: Queen Mary I, Queen Elizabeth I and King Edward VI.
