Every year for one week in June, Dublin, Texas, renames itself Dr Pepper in honor of the beverage company's oldest bottling plant, located right in the heart of the central Texas town. About 4,000 people call Dublin home, but what they lack in population they make up for with enthusiasm for Dublin's revered drink, including a Dr Pepper Museum and a Facebook fan page for "Dublin Dr Pepper" which should not be mistaken for Dr Pepper. Says the administrator of the fan page: "Dublin Dr Pepper is Dr Pepper, but Dr Pepper is NOT Dublin Dr Pepper." Texas Monthly even honored Dublin Dr Pepper in its March 2010 issue by putting drinking the beverage in the top 10 of its bucket list of things to do in the state before you die.
