Conan Says 'Adios' to NBC
One of many reports to surface during Conan O'Brien's spat with NBC was that he would be legally banned from bad-mouthing the network. The Tonight Show host addressed reports while bending the rules. He simply disparaged his bosses in another language, speaking Spanish as subtitles read, "NBC is run by brainless sons of goats who eat money and crap trouble." The night before, O'Brien had decided to put a melody to his troubles, singing, "Morons, incompetent morons, these people are morons, la dee dee dee." Any alleged legal restrictions just allowed O'Brien to get creative, making the audience the real winners in this fight.
