Millennium Force
The Millennium Force, the 14th roller coaster to be built at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio, was named people's favorite coaster in separate polls conducted by the Golden Ticket Awards and the National Amusement Park Historical Association (NAPHA). Overlooking Lake Erie, it's a beauty of a ride, with twists and turns throughout the entire 6,595-ft. (2,510 m) course. It's also the first roller coaster to use a cable lift system rather than the traditional chain lift, and the first to feature a magnetic braking system.
