Most of the Danish contribution is in a battle group operating with British forces in Helmand Province. The Danes also help run Kandahar Airfield. With 30 soldiers killers in Afghanistan Denmark has the highest casualty count relative to its population. Indeed, Afghanistan is the country's deadliest foreign combat mission since 1864.
