This 16-megapixel digital SLR from Canon shoots HD video at up to 30 frames per second (fps), has a 45-point autofocus system and shoots in bursts of 10 fps. By all accounts that makes for one heck of a camera. But wait, there's more. The 1D Mark IV is capable of shooting at ISO 102,400, which sidles right up to night-vision territory. Not only does it excel in low-light situations, it also shoots 1080p video with full manual exposure control. With a 1.3x crop factor, however, the Mark IV isn't a full-frame rig. If you can't afford to drop a few grand on a camera, just wait until some of the Mark IV's technology (like low-light performance) eventually trickles down to point-and-shoot cameras. Price: $5,000.
