Comcast doesn't like its name. In February 2010, the cable-television and Internet giant announced it would roll out its new name, Xfinity, in 11 U.S. markets. A subsequent national campaign was rolled out in television ads airing during the Winter Olympics. Comcast hopes the new moniker will help customers forget the high prices and poor customer service for which the company has been criticized in the past. Will the name change work? Probably not, but at least it'll sound a bit edgier when you're put on hold ... with Xfinity.
