Hawaiians eat some 7 million cans of Spam every year — the most of any state. Instead of hiding that disturbing statistic, the residents celebrate it each year with the Spam Jam. The one-day street festival offers music, entertainment and, of course, the potted-meat product served every which way. Last year 20,000 people stopped by. Show up and munch on a Spam burger. The festival promises to be a far more authentic experience than those hotel luau shows. Admission: free
