PRO: The 12-year-old coffee klatch amped up its political coverage and clout last year, drawing all the presidential front runners (and, weirdly, Rod Blagojevich). And producers made sure to devote plenty of screen time to social-issue clashes between mesdames Hasselbeck and Behar.

CON: Even the show's best-refereed tussles can get a little snippy. And we'll admit to sometimes missing the gaudy spectacle that was Star Jones.
