Garner's Pregnant Spy Kicks Butt
In the fifth and final season of her ABC show Alias, Jennifer Garner quietly announced to producers of the action-packed spy drama that she was expecting her (and Ben Affleck's) first child. At first the producers planned on using the old large-bag, stand-behind-a-counter method, but ultimately decided to knock up Garner's butt-kicking, kick-boxing secret-agent character, Sidney Bristow. Garner, who had to have stunt doubles fill in for her more strenuous fight scenes, played the role well into her last trimester and gave birth to daughter Violet in December 2005. Know what's really twisted, though? Her character got impregnated by her love interest on the show — played by the actor who also happened to be Garner's real-life ex-boyfriend. Oh, what a tangled web we weave.
