"Amen / All Summer Long," Kid Rock

It's unclear when Kid Rock morphed from President of the United States of Beer Goggles to a minor player in the culture wars, but "Amen" proves that the man has got some serious concerns about our nation's moral compass. Frankly, if Kid Rock is scared to send his children to church the rest of us ought to be taking the tape off the Y2K room. The second half of this performance proves that there are at least a few parts of ol' Kid not totally devoted to the lord. With a quick shout out to Lynrd Skynrd's late Billy Powell, Kid queues up his big summer hit about drinking and singing "Sweet Home Alabama." Ah, much better.
