Obama Art

A collection of Obama-themed works by independent artists from around the nation will be exhibited at the Manifest Hope: D.C. gallery up until the big day. The display — which will include pieces by the popular Shepard Fairey, who designed the now iconic, red, white and blue Obama campaign posters (as well as TIME's Person of the Year cover) — is focused on the grass-roots visual-art movement. This original Etch A Sketch image, right, meticulously turned by George Vlosich of Cleveland, is one of the pieces that will hang in the gallery, priced at $10,000. His work can be seen at www.gvartwork.com; other featured artists can be found at www.manifesthope.com.
