In a 2006 Closing Bell interview, CNBC reporter Maria Bartiromo asked President Bush if he had ever Googled anybody. According to the news program's transcript, he replied, "Occasionally. One of the things I've used on The Google is to pull up maps."
Maybe this isn't a fair Bushism Baby Boomers' ineptitude with new technology is a reliable comedy touchstone for everyone from The Onion to your mom.
Then again, it's kind of embarrassing when the misstatement comes from the President. And in case you're wondering if it was just a one-time slip up, this is the same man who frequently uses the term "the Internets."
