Sure, they can be pricey, but since consumers indicate they plan to stay home more often—cooking meals or taking a "staycation" instead of a vacation—a brand new TV lets you indulge while still saving money. Plasma and LCD TV prices have dropped by almost a third in the last year and a Black Friday deal could save you as much as $300 on top of that. If you're one of the holdouts who still hasn't upgraded from analog to digital—a must by February 2009—now is your chance for a TV on the cheap. A PriceGrabber report predicts that, despite hard economic times, three-quarters of online shoppers who don't already have a high-def TV will purchase one within the next year.
