A hit with the private-jet set, fractional ownership is making waves on the open seas. YachtPlus will launch its first superyacht, the 135-ft. (41 m) Ocean Emerald, in early 2009. One of 10 identical vessels designed for the company by architect Norman Foster, the Ocean Emerald will sleep up to 12 guests and seven crew members. Owners who buy a one-eighth share will be allotted four to five weeks annually to be spent cruising in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.
