"Vero possumus."
A Latin phrase, roughly translating to the Obama mantra "Yes We Can," that was featured on a presidential-looking seal debuted by the campaign at a Chicago forum
Obama was often criticized for acting as if he was taking his victory lap before the race was over, and his unveiling of a seal that appeared very presidential didn't help. The prop got a lot of attention after being prominently displayed on the candidate's podium as he spoke with governors about their states' needs. It was widely mocked and the campaign later said it was retiring the seal, claiming it was only made for "one-time use."
