Obama's infomercial

The very existence of this half-hour ad proves how much money Barack Obama had to burn near the end of his campaign. The lack of subtlety is astounding — it literally begins with a shot of amber waves of grain, though no majestic purple mountains or fruited plains. Ensconced in a wooden office that he might have rented from one of Dick Cheney's Wyoming ranches, Barack Obama presents his case to the nation, mainly through the sad stories of other people. It makes for riveting, utterly depressing watching.
