Palin and her husband, Todd, have five children. Their three daughters: Bristol, 17, Willow, 14, and Piper, 7. Their two sons: Track, 19, and infant Trig, born in April; the governor carried him to term knowing he had Down Syndrome. Palin describes herself as a "hockey mom" and has a hard-earned reputation as a dedicated working mother. She returned to work just three days after Trig was born and, when she was mayor of Wasilla, she reportedly brought her infant daughter to the office regularly. The baby slept in a car seat under her desk while Palin worked. The Palins' eldest son, Track, enlisted in the Army on Sept. 11, 2007, and is preparing to deploy to Iraq.
