Campaign Gaffes, 2008

Biden announced he would run for the White House early in the summer of 2005. A year later, in June 2006, he offended Indian-Americans saying, "You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent." Six months later, on the day he officially announced his presidential run, he offended African-Americans With his much-repeated gaffe about Barack Obama: "the first mainstream African-American [candidate] who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy."
