John Kerry's Moral Outrage
As an assistant began removing his mic after a union rally in 2004, Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry turned to a worker nearby and said, "Don't worry, man. We're going to keep pounding, let me tell you — we're just beginning to fight here. These guys are the most crooked, you know, lying group of people I've ever seen." A Kerry spokesman later denied that his comment referred to the Bush administration, saying it was directed at their "attack dogs." Kerry also claimed he knew the mic had been recording the whole time.
