This G is saucy. The alternative hip-hop band, fronted by Garrett "G. Love" Dutton, formed in 1993. Their first single "Cold Beverage" (which basically details their love of frosty drinks) propelled their self-titled debut album to success. Since then, the Philadelphia-based trio has weathered a breakup and become a highly profitable live act, often touring with Jack Johnson and Dave Matthews Band. Those unfamiliar with their unique moniker might recognize their sound from a 2005 Coke Zero ad that featured their version of "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing."
