Former British Prime Minister
Labour Prime Minister Gordon Brown could not have been pleased when some Murdoch-owned newspapers switched their editorial support to the Conservative Party in the build up to Britain's 2010 election. But he already had reason to dislike Murdoch's The Sun after the newspaper obtained access to medical records relating to his son Fraser's cystic fibrosis condition in 2006 (the Sun maintains the information wasn't obtained by illegal means). In July 2011, Brown upped the ante, lashing out against News Corp in his first major speech in the House of Commons since leaving the prime minister's post and accusing it of "law-breaking on an industrial scale".
