When you've got the keys to a pad like Buckingham Palace, you probably don't need a new blender. With that in mind, the future Mr. and Mrs. William Windsor have asked anyone wishing to give them a wedding gift to consider donating to the Royal Wedding Charity Fund instead. Those donations will support 26 charities around the world, including groups that work with disadvantaged youth and the widows of army veterans, and others that fight school bullying and deforestation. The couple's request will also prevent useless clutter from piling up in their new digs. Diana and Charles received more than 6,000 wedding presents including a piece of crocheted lace spun by Mahatma Gandhi, and a gold model of an Arab sailing dhow encrusted with gems from the Emir of Bahrain. Try making space for that on your coffee table.
