The Foo Fighters may have recorded their new album in a garage, but Davila 666 will definitely have you smelling musty diesel fumes. Out of San Juan, Puerto Rico, this garage-rock and punk hybrid sextet sounds a bit like the Pixies or Os Mutantes, if they had listened to more Beach Boys records. Their newest song, "Esa Nena Nunca Regreso," is a perfect summer anthem, even if you can't understand a word they're saying. At Vice's party and then again at the festival closing Mess with Texas show, Davila 666 brought down the house with their infectious, danceable, tambourine-punctuated tunes.
